About Izzy McCarthy
Izzy McCarthy is a photographer and filmmaker based in Manchester, England. From human stories to the natural world, Izzy aims to inspire social, environmental and ethical change. As a professional scuba diver, she specialises in underwater visuals, working to develop conservation narratives. With a passion for exploring, she produces travel documentary photography and writing, as well as animal photojournalism in the name of activism. Izzy is a vegan, motivated by a life-long love of animals, justice and kindness. Graduating with BA(Hons) Marine and Natural History Photography, she has experience with a wide variety of photographic equipment and techniques. Walking the line between science and art, Izzy uses her caring, sensitive, intelligent and perceptive nature as a force for good; hoping to capture the reality of life on Earth in all its beauty and suffering.
